Islington renovation

After seven years of hectic operation, we are about to give the Islington restaurant a serious and well-needed facelift.
For this we will need to close the restaurant for nine days – from Tuesday, 30th of August, to Wednesday, 7th of September. We will re-open, all white and gleaming, on Thursday, 8th of September.
We hope that you will bear with us and come back to enjoy all the usual Ottolenghi delights soon after.
Thanks for your understanding!

Sorry to have missed eating at your joint on my recent visit to London. I had to console myself by following your advice and trying croquettes at Holtkamp while in Amsterdam. They will prepare them in the shop for take away and we enjoyed them outside while standing the pouring rain.
Come to Chicago some time and try some of our great food here.
@Andrew, those croquettes are something! Will definitely come to Chicago. I hear about the food there all the time.
Just returned from a holiday in Mykonos where their delicious Manouri cheese was served everywhere. I heard that the Selfridges food hall no longer sell it, I am so disappointed that I cannot find it anywhere in London and I would really love to try the Ottolengi Grilled Asparagus and Courgette with Manouri Cheese recipe.
Any suggestions?
@Maria, I have seen it in many Turkish and Greek food stores around London in the past, but I couldn't tell you a specific shop that sells it at the moment. Good luck.
@Yotam, how did the renovation job turn out?
@Showers and bathrooms Sydney, It looks great. We were very happy.
I LOVE the food at Ottolenghi Islington & today at Notting Hill but am really sad you have stopped offering ORGANIC Salmon in your restaurants. |Ordinary farmed Salmon is so unhealthy!! Farmed Organic costs around same as Tuna - £20 a kilo.
Please bring the Organic Salmon back!
@Jill, We use only Loch Duart salmon at Ottolenghi. They are farmers and are not organic but they do conform to their own standards listed here http://www.lochduart.com/bestpractice.htm. Unlike a lot of organic fish, they farm top quality salmon consistently.
